Some of you may already know that we’ve started a new and exciting way of travelling called Home Exchange. Due to Covid it was impossible to leave the country, so we started swapping our home for other people’s homes in the UK. We’ve stayed in some really cool places – I guess the downside is the cleaning up before and after you leave your home BUT you get to stay in a house versus a hotel room and some of the houses are insane cool – plus it’s free! It seems I’ve become a bit obsessed with Spain – the weather, the food and did I say the weather? Because hanging out on the beach all day in February is just the ABSOLUTE BEST. Edinburgh… Again.
Oh Edinburgh, you are so wonderful. I think this was my 7th trip. And still I cannot wait to go back again. Every time we go there are so many new discoveries to make and the city is just so beautiful, plus so many of our amazing friends seem to live there which is so convenient! Private Swimming Pool in Crosby
I’m going to mention the dreaded C word… just a head’s up… Covid. Yup, Covid is making normal life very difficult and we really want to just stay safe and happy. We are also careful because Alfie can’t get vaccinated (yet?), so we don’t mix with many people but we do take him to weekly swimming lessons. We go to Waterbabies – and it’s amazing. Tenerife
Yup – you read that correctly. TENERIFE! We finally left the UK – it felt like a miracle! We cancelled four trips abroad due to Covid and then life got rough and well, long story short – I went crazy and with less than a week’s notice I booked us to go to a little island off the coast of West Africa. Prestatyn – Where to Eat!
We had brought tons of food with us to make in our little AirBnB, but the guidebook left for us to look through was filled with delicious restaurant options, so instead we splurged and had a fabulous few days! Prestatyn is just over an hours drive from Liverpool, so perfect for a quick getaway. We spent four days here and this is what we saw: Rhuddlan castle Well this is definitely where I took the most photos on our holiday – wow! We were the only ones here even though it was a Sunday morning in the summer holidays. Here’s the post you’ve all been waiting for… We got a few takeaways as it was easier with our toddler to eat in our accommodation, plus we had friends come over and join us so it worked out perfectly.
